ST_TrendChannel automatically detects and draws short-term trend channels directly on the price panel, then generates signals when price bounces off a channel boundary, crosses the midline, or breaks out convincingly beyond the bands. Multiple historical channels remain visible so traders can see how prior trends resolved. When a breakout confirms, the channel locks in place and a new one begins building.
